Kinect Halo: Reach Won’t Happen

Previously, we had speculated about a Kinect Halo: Reach version, because of other rumors, and the similar launch dates, as well as Halo being the most popular Xbox-exclusive franchise.

Bungie has announced that Halo: Reach will not incorporate Kinect controls.  “Halo: Reach is NOT a [Kinect] title and is being developed expressly with the traditional Xbox 360 controller in mind,” Bungie said.

Back in June 2009, when Kinect was announced, the Bungie president has stated that Halo: Reach may use Kinect controls, which was the source of a lot of the speculation.

I am sure there definitely will be other Kinect shooting games, but unfortunately for all of you Halo fans out there, Halo: Reach won’t be one of them.
