This would require a sling on the gun accessory but would leave it with a more realistic feel.
I also think the gun package should come with a pistol that would also require the movement controls and the reload button on bottom. The pistol could come with a holster and the machine gun with a sling. I would also find a way to tether the pistol to the holster so it wouldn't be dropped all the time.
I also believe you should be able to pick up a second larger gun as your secondary weapon, or simply carry two larger guns. To do this the kenect should simply detect when you lean over and reach down.
On the subject of changing guns, if you switched between your pistol and main gun the kinect would notice. However, if you've picked up a second main weapon then you would need a button on the stock or the top to control the switch.

To amend my statement, I believe the grenade action should be grabbing your right hip and actually acting like you are throwing the grenade, with a possible aiming ability before you throw based on your other arm. It could use identifying shapes in strategic places to identify where you are aiming, have movement controls on the handle (I don't know about anyone else, but running for your character constantly would be a pain), use a button on the bottom of the magazine area to reload, and use the kinect to detect if you are ducking, leaning behind something, throwing a grenade or any other action necessary.\
As far a using a sniper rifle goes, I believe they should have a button that is pressed when you put it against your shoulder that would bring up your scope view if you have a sniper rifle equipped.

I agree with those suggesting a gun prop to work with the kinect.

It could use identifying shapes in strategic places to identify where you are aiming, have movement controls on the handle (I don’t know about anyone else, but running for your character constantly would be a pain), use a button on the bottom of the magazine area to reload, and use the kinect to detect if you are ducking, leaning behind something, throwing a grenade or any other action necessary.\

As far a using a sniper rifle goes, I believe they should have a button that is pressed when you put it against your shoulder that would bring up your scope view if you have a sniper rifle equipped.

By: RICH

<guid

But I am going ahead a bit Do this if you can't pretend grab a broom stick and do the fallowing Hold , run ,go prone , Crouch ,Lean and aim in all possions.
Pay close attention to your alingment of you body now start snapping lines to your target.
The glasses are a good idea but I would as they wher intended for a heads up and LW. However in the hud is your aiming with hand and finger function and body allignment.
This alread exists and its not far off. Think about it how many movies in the past 10 years haven't had some if not all didgetal work?
Even in an eppisode of Amazing Race showed exactly how this is done.
Except now the program reconises key points on the body.such as your sholders in recording every possable possion you can in every instance repeet them here.
The diffaculty is lag in movement most heavy streaming video games. This is where the I think we need some assistance and will include batteries.
In order to jump that lattency issues but now we need not get in a blue suit loaded with (por)point of refferance balls.
Insted I see driving gloves with signal enhaced por Kinda like driving gloves with studs but I would not whear them out LOL.
Or even full gloves using all ten fingers to switch between weapons and to fire. fully configurable by the person.
We are moving toward 3D gaming it seems that controll issues have leveled out for the best it seems to be better than predicted.
However 3D gaming is a whole differant horse I will leave this alone for awhile.
But from what I have seen in the Kinecks break throughs the possabilties are unlimeted stay Kineckted thats what I say this is not finished.

No not the look and shoot there has to be some motion other than twitching your finger.<br

Overall everything done in the series has been done before with few exceptions. Worst part about it is that other games that did it first made it better. Two examples would be Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, or Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, was more believable in that you die in a realistic amount of shots, other than in COD: Black Ops which is trash online, mostly because of all the connection losses. BF: Bad Company 2, had amazing graphics, destructible maps, big maps, and amazing online which made the game repayable, unlike COD: MW2, where once you prestige you just repeating the same old boring process that doesn't get the least bit more exciting. And by getting to the last prestige all you did was prove that you seriously need a new hobby. Now to the real point, Kinect would be good with a Call of Duty styled game, just maybe with some of the features listed in the other games, such as destructible maps, bigger maps, and better online. A game that would probably be more popular though would be a game like ARMA for Kinect.

Personally I think The Call of Duty series was a waste. Its something I will be picking up in the future when more games are available Im not into dance and party games but it will go down well with the family and will sell really well.I Just hope they can cater for joe bloggs who wants to blast zombies and blow stuff up.

It goes against the point of not having to use a controller, playstation move doesnt have to overcome those problems for shooters, maybe you will have to shout FIRE FIRE FIRE to shoot on the kinect lol

Its something I will be picking up in the future when more games are available Im not into dance and party games but it will go down well with the family and will sell really well.I Just hope they can cater for joe bloggs who wants to blast zombies and blow stuff up.

By: kinecter

<guid

Shooter games will be stationary unless they find a way for you to move. And pulling a trigger, the kinect will most likely not read your trigger pull, so thats out. I would however like to see time crisis on there. But as I said gun controls would be very tricky. So they will most likely come out with A LOT of gay shooter games.

You have to understand that the Kinect is not some magical portal that lets you play anything. For a shooting type of game with kinect a controller of some kind I think would be needed. Especialy for snipers who have to wait for the right moment to pull the trigger or they miss or fire on accident. Or the system gets your movement wrong and throws a granade when you wanna bash or assasinate someone (halo reach). Love assasinateing yayah!
Movement like walking or running is simple enough. Crouching and laying down also. and change the direction also can be done. throwing granades also. the shooting is gonna be tough to get past with this system of control. I have high hopes for this new system and if we continue with it the games can only get better.

Theres a few problems with haveing a completely wireless system like kinect. the space required to use it is to large especially for some kids who are confind to there room when it comes to playing there XBOX. not only that but it would be hard to play on a small television which not everone has a 150 inch plasmatv to play with.
