However, a lot of the non-gaming features for Kinect like watching movies or listening to music in Zune or videos from Netflix or sports on ESPN work while you are seated. You can use your voice to talk to Kinect to pause/play the video and you can also use your hands to browse the UI and control the video or music. So while a lot of the games are full-body control, you can still use Kinect for some of the other Xbox activities while seated. Bob – A lot of the games are designed for standing.
