Kinect Forza Coming from Turn 10?
Posted in Games on Feb 09., 2010
UPDATE: At E3 2010, a Kinect Forza demo was displayed. It won’t be to control the whole game, but you’ll be able to use Kinect controls for some race modes, as well as for checking out the car in a 360 display mode.
TotalVideoGames.com recently discovered a Microsoft job listing that suggests that the Forza series games developer Turn 10, is looking to develop the game incorporating Kinect technology.
According to the job listing, they want to hire a Business Development Manager that will ‘”drive high quality game content for our Next Generation games including the Natal (now called Kinect) platform”.
The job listing goes on to say: “Turn 10 Studios, the creators of the Forza Motorsport franchise and a division of Microsoft Game Studios, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior business leader to head up the studio’s licensing and business management team. This leadership role will manage the studio’s P&L [profit and loss], partner with executives to set strategy and drive high quality game content for our Next Generation games including the [Kinect] platform.”
Will racing games really be practical to play using Kinect controls? I can only hold my arms out with no support for a limited amount of time before they get tired. I guess only time will tell.
Kinect’s release date is November 4, 2010, just in time for the holiday season.
