Best Kinect Game: Fitness

I think that the best Kinect fitness game is Your Shape: Fitness Evolved. I love how it scanned my body when I first started playing. It is using that scan to track my progress (where I am building muscle and where I am losing fat) as well as using that scan to give me personalized workouts to target my trouble areas.

Best Kinect Game: Hardcore

One of the complaints for Kinect is that there aren’t many hardcore games. While that is not the target audience for Kinect, there is one great game I recommend. Fighters Uncaged is a fighting game that will allow you to fight against opponents (like Mortal Kombat) but you’ll actually throw punches, kicks, combine them for good combos, as well as dodge the punches and kicks of your opponent.

Best Kinect Game: Dancing

I really cannot choose a favorite between the two dancing games for Kinect. They both have their benefits. If I had to choose one, I would go with Dance Central, simply because of their soundtrack. Since it is made by MTV Games, they were able to get a lot of the hottest music artists to contribute songs for this game. DanceMasters is great as well, it just doesn’t have all of the hottest music of today.

Best Kinect Game: Kids

One great benefit of Kinect is that kids don’t have to learn complex control schemes on the controller. If your kid knows how to move their body around, then they can play Kinect! Plus, it gets them off of the couch during their video gaming experience. I recommend Kinectimals for kids, because it’s a fun game that allows them to play with their own virtual pets. They can teach them to do tricks and have a fun time.

I recommend Fighters Uncaged if you are looking for a more hardcore Kinect experience. You’ll really throw punches and kicks, as well as dodge and do over 50 different moves in order to fight your way to the top of the underground fighting circuit.

Both of the Kinect dancing games are awesome, but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be Dance Central. Kinect has become very popular, and while people who own an Xbox 360 are already buying the Kinect accessory, there are people who do not own an Xbox 360 who want to get an Xbox 360 bundled with Kinect since that offers the best deal.

There are two different Kinect bundles, and it really depends on what size hard drive you want. If you’re going to be saving a lot of games on the hard drive, then you’ll want to get the larger bundle. If you’ll only be using it casually, then the 4GB model is for you.

You’ll be able to bring the Biggest Loser Ranch right to your home. You’ll be able to create an on-screen avatar that looks like you that will also lose weight as you lose weight. You’ll be able to workout alongside more than 70 former contestants from the show on this fun Kinect game.

You’ll be able to track your progress, to see how your workouts are coming along. You’ll be able to create a video diary of your workout sessions, and you can share that with others if you’d like. You’ll get various challenges, weigh-ins, and workout routines to follow via the game’s calendar. You’ll also be able to add outside activity as well to get a more complete overall view of your daily exercise habits.
