According to a leaked screenshot of a list of games being released in the fall, “Yoga Natal” was on that list. (Project Natal is now called Kinect)

If the marketing is done right, this game can be a great way to get many mothers wanting to buy Kinect, to make their yoga workouts even better. The problem with doing Yoga at home, is that you don’t always know if you are doing the poses and stretches properly, but with Kinect, you’ll be able to get real time feedback. Yoga games have been popular on the Nintendo Wii Fit, and they were even included on Wii Fit Plus.

The official Kinect release date is November 4th, 2010.

Kinect Windows 7 Capabilities?

A lot of people are definitely excited about Kinect and the possibilities it will open up as far as console gaming goes. People are even excited about being able to use it to control other aspects of the Xbox 360 such as browsing menus and choosing videos. But, one of the popular questions that has come up have revolved around a Kinect Windows 7 possibility, and whether or not we’ll be able to use Kinect capabilities to control stuff on our PC’s.

I recently wrote about Kinect on PCs, but as far as Windows 7 being able to use Kinect, I think that may be a possibility. Obviously, Microsoft is going to want to see how well Kinect does on the Xbox 360, but since a Windows operating system is on a huge majority of the world’s computers, being able to convert all of those Windows users into Kinect users could mean a lot of money for Microsoft. Even still, if they limit the capabilities to be only used on Windows 7, that will convince a lot of people to upgrade from Vista and XP, which means even more money.

There’s definitely some real possibilities that we’ll see Kinect on Windows 7, but for right now it’s just hopes, wishes, and speculation.

Kinect Shooting Games: Will They Work?

With all of the various possibilities for Kinect, one of the things people have been asking about are Kinect shooting games. Will these actually work, or will we still need to have some sort of a controller in order to actually pull a trigger?

I am not sure how these will work out… Kinect shooters have a lot of hurdles to go through in order to get them working great. But, people have been talking about Kinect Halo, so that may definitely be a possibility.

What are your thoughts on how Kinect shooting games may work, or whether they will fail? Please share in the comments below…

Using Kinect on PC, Will It Happen?

With all of the excitement of Kinect, people are wondering if they’ll be able to use Kinect on PC games and applications. While that definitely hasn’t been announced by Microsoft as a possibility, I can see it happening down the line.

If it catches on with the Xbox 360 as I am pretty sure it will, it definitely opens up the possibility for Microsoft to expand their customer base to the millions and millions of Windows users across the world.

Being able to scroll through website pages, change tabs instantly, and click links with the wave of your hand will make things like reading news, RSS feeds, and e-mail much better experiences. Especially if the voice command possibilities of Kinect are integrated, you can tell it when link to click just by saying the link’s name.

What ideas do you have for Kinect on PC applications and games?
