Kinect Dance Games

One of the popular genres of Kinect games will definitely be Kinect dance games. They will take that Dance Dance Revolution did for gaming to a whole new level. You’ll not only be able to learn some new moves, but you’ll be able to show off those moves with friends or just trying to beat your own scores.
There are a few Kinect dancing games that are scheduled for release at or around the Kinect launch on November 4, 2010. Here is a run down of each of the Kinect games, and how they approach the dance genre differently.
Dance Central is a game from Harmonix, the makers of the original Guitar Hero, and the makers of Rock Band. They teamed up with MTV Games to bring an awesome and fun dance game to the Kinect. Featuring music from some of today’s hottest artists in the pop, R&B and hip hop genres, you’ll be able to dance along with the professionally choreographed dance moves whether you’re a beginner or an expert at dancing. You’ll be able to learn the dance moves in one mode, while taking those moves to the masses in another mode. This game will have a lot of replay value because you’ll be able to continually learn new dance moves. With over 90 routines in the game, you definitely won’t get bored.
Dance Masters is brought to you by the makers of Dance Dance Revolution. They definitely know what it’s like to make a hot dancing video game, and Dance Masters is no exception. You’ll be doing various moves like turning, bows, stomps, poses, all mixed in with various hand motions. A few people got to try this game out while at E3 2010, and it got pretty good reviews. It was definitely fun, and a good workout according to those reviews.
Zumba Fitness Party will be another fun dance game. They don’t call it fitness, they call it a party! You’ll be able to dance to various Latin dance styles and music, combined with other hot styles of dance. This game definitely is more fitness focused than the others, but it’s still a great game to learn some dancing. There are many routines that you can try and master, and just when you have mastered those, you can get an even better workout by bumping the workout to a higher difficulty level.
